Incoming 7th from LES & Returning LMHS Student Registration
Online Registration & Fee Payments will open by the end of the first week of August. Register online via Parent Portal, then return to Parent Portal to purchase student Fees. If you need help, we will have days and times that you can come in during August, before school begins, for assistance and/or to pay for Fees via cash or check. Please keep an eye out for “Back to School” and “LMHS Registration” posts (by mid-July) on our webpage and in Parent Square for more details, supply list, Open House information, etc.
New Student Registration 2026-27
New Student Registration 2026-27: (NOT for incoming 7th grom LES) If your child is New to the Libby Public School District, or they are returning AFTER having been Withdrawn from LMHS before June 5, 2026, please attend our New Student Registration event. This will take place in the LMHS Lobby from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on August 12th & 13th. Students musst be registered by their legal guardian unless special circumstances exist and school administration approves another adult to register the student. What To Bring: Please bring the child’s immunization records, official birth certificate, any official legal documents that apply (custody/guardianship, Power of Attorney, temporary guardianship, etc), valid photo ID of parent/guardian, and a copy of the child’s high school transcript if possible (for 10-12th graders only). Keep an eye out for “Back to School” posts on our webpage for more details and supplies list. If you are unable to make it to New Student Registration, or if you have questions, please email martye@libbyschools.org, or call the LMHS Office at 406-293-8802 at the beginning of August between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm.
Student Transfers
Transfering TO another School from LMHS: The new school may email their record request to our registrar secretary, Liz Marty, at martye@libbyschools.org. If they prefer, they may fax their request to 406-293-3927 Attn: Registrar.

Community and School
Libby is located in the Northwest corner of Montana, nestled at the base of the Cabinet Mountains in the heart of Kootenai National Forest. The over 2-million-acre forest is host to 140 lakes, 3 major rivers, hundreds of streams and abundant wildlife for residents and tourists to enjoy. Libby is a community of 2,758 people with surrounding population of about 12,000 and is the county seat for Lincoln County.
Libby High School, home of the Loggers, is an established four-year comprehensive education facility offering leading edge academic, technical, and occupational education programs. Enrollment for the current year is 322 students. The school year consists of two 18-week semesters. Class periods are 60 minutes, 6 times a day; 5 days a week. The school also offers seniors many opportunities for internships in the community for on-the-job training. Logger territory is steeped in rich traditions that honor our heritage by teaching our students about logging in friendly competition each fall during homecoming competitions. Logger leaders “Earn Their Boots” by providing positive leadership in all areas of life, including character, scholarship, service, and competition, and always “Loggers Go First”.
