Libby Elementary Principal

Greetings Libby Elementary School families! My name is Jeanine Kidwell and I am proud to be the Principal of Libby Elementary School, home of the Loggers!  I am honored to have the opportunity to serve a school with such persevering students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community.  I am blessed and very fortunate to be part of this school community and am here to support students and families.

I have been a public educator for 24 years. I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas where I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology with an emphasis in education and taught reading in grades 6-8 for ten years. I then attended Trinity University receiving my Master of Education in school administration in 2007.  Since then, I have served as a literacy specialist, academic dean of instruction, and vice principal in several San Antonio school districts.  My most recent administrative experience, before Libby, was at Seashore Charter Schools in Corpus Christi, TX where I served as the superintendent/principal for a K-8 charter school.

My husband, Keith and I love our Libby community and are always looking for opportunities to support our community’s needs.  We live in town so you may see me around the neighborhood.

I put students at the heart of everything I do and am passionate about helping students reach their potential, along with teachers and parents. I believe that all students can achieve at high levels by ensuring to support students’ social, emotional, and academic needs. I am excited about working with the students, staff, and families of LES to make it a caring and supportive learning environment for all!
