LMHS to Phase 0 on 11/12/20 & Meal Delivery Plan

Phase 0: All LMHS Students to Learn Virtually. November 12th, 2020

In consultation with the Health Department the District has decided LMHS will move to Phase 0, virtual learning, beginning tomorrow, Thursday November 12, 2020. Please have your students check their school email and Google Classroom often. The school currently has over 100 students and 5 staff members quarantined and our overall attendance has been reduced to 50% this week.  There have been 10 positive cases reported in recent days.

Classes will be conducted virtually through Thanksgiving with an expected return to in person instruction November 30.  This time frame will allow a full 14 day incubation cycle of the virus to be completed.   Meals will be delivered using 2 routes starting at 11:30 am. See details below.

Phase 0 class times and office hours can also be viewed at the following link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VhAzAN7alWMuFbmSN9_eLIpUSJcFn34hjjyRFonM-aQ/edit?usp=sharing. Students have been emailed the schedule.  We have a limited number of Chromebooks  that can be checked out from the office.  If you have any questions please feel free to call Ms. Rogers or Mr. Germany.

UPDATED Free Meal Delivery Plan as of 11/17/2020

During Phase 0 in Two or More School Buildings (Currently LMHS and LES):
We will deliver meals Tuesdays and Thursdays via Harlow’s Bus Service. This delivery option will be on the big yellow buses and arrive approximately four (4) hours later than the normal morning pickup. Children do not have to be present for meal pick-up. (Parents may pick up for
children.)

Free meals are also available to children 18 years & younger who are not enrolled in our district. This includes younger children who are not in school yet, children enrolled in other districts, and children who are home-schooled. Students are eligible whether they are doing in-person learning at school, virtual/remote learning at home, or home-schooled learning.

At this time, both LMHS and LES plan to return to in-person learning at school on November 30th.
