This course is designed to provide a basic overview of laws dealing with business and personal rights. Emphasizing areas of business that students will come into contact with in everyday situations and in potential jobs. Students will be introduced to general civil and criminal law, contract law, property law, credit and debt regulations, employment rights, ethical issues, and commercial law. Students will experience legal issues through discussions of current events. Students will participate in a mock trial.
