This course will primarily be a study of Western Civilization. the first part of first quarter will consist of a review of Ancient World Civilizations. Focus will be general and point to the relation of Ancient Societies to the Western civilizations.
The remainder of the course will explore Western Civilizations paying particular attention to the symbiotic relationships between societies from different parts of the World. Our study will take the students through the great revolutions of the 18th and 19th centuries.
Two consistent themes will be viewing history through both sets of eyes of the cultures interacting with each other as well as timely references to the modern world.
