Geometry is a study of shapes like lines, points, planes, triangles, squares, etc., and their properties and relationships with one another. It is also a course in deductive thinking or logic. Besides being required for further courses in math, geometry has many practical applications in such areas as carpentry, astronomy, physics, design and construction. Study skills are needed for this class.
