Geography: An investigative multimedia course focusing on why people live and work where they do, and how they adapt to their environment. Broken into urban living, manufacturing and farming, cultural geography, political geography, and habitat and resources will be covered in this class.
Montana History:A survey of Montana from past to present beginning with an in-depth analysis of Montana’s geography, Native Americans, and the arrival of non-Indians on the Montana landscape. Other topics explored are exploration and fur trapping, gold rushes, cattle industry, hard-rock mining, lumbering, homesteading, and local heritage. This is a required course for 9th grade students.
