This course will introduce a student to the various media (tools) available and how to use them in the creative process of drawing. The class will focus on training the eye, application of the Elements of Art (Line, Shape, Value, Texture and Color) and Principles of Design (Emphasis, Balance, Harmony, Variety, Movement, Rhythm, Proportion and Unity), perspective, drawing the human figure, understanding the control of the light source. This class is important in establishing self-confidence and one’s ability to produce stronger drawing and painting skills.
