This course chronologically surveys American literature. Persuasive essays, comparison and contrast, and research essay writing will be emphasized at this level. Skills such as public speaking, essay testing, critical listening, and the media will also be covered. Latin word clues are presented for vocabulary development. Specific needs in grammar will be assessed and determined needs will be taught.
